This intra- and transdiciplinary research and development project (RHE-BUND) aims to specify and evolve the specific role and contribution of the federal government supporting the regional governance in Austria — both at the vertical and horizontal level of collaboration between different territorial authorities and related institutions and organisations. Based upon relevant prestudies in that area, the current Austrian Spatial Development Concept (ÖREK 2030) and practical experiences so far with different methodical approaches and selected pioneer projects the project will elaborate practical background for the future positioning of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism at the level of regional governance. Focusing to the example of the tourism industry, the scope of co-steering at the regional governance is worked out in details. The project implementation is partially using agile methods of project management (user stories, epics, sprints, retrospectives). The outcomes of the projects will be generated as specific service supplies by the ministry offering practical benefits for the relevant actors and stakeholders involved in the regional governance level in Austria. |
